Paddy’s was recommended to us while we were searching for an appropriate wedding venue at home in Ireland, while living in the UK. From the moment we started engaging with Naoise and saw some footage of weddings that had taken place at Paddy’s we knew it was the venue for us. Naoise was fantastic in the run-up to the wedding, providing us with lots of detail on how the day would go and how we could add our own personal touches, and answered any questions we had very promptly. This really helped alleviate any stress involved in trying to plan a wedding from another country!
On the day itself, Paddy’s blew us away. The setting was incredible and like no where else we’ve been, from the entry into the very traditional thatched pub with the turf fire and front bar (where singsongs later happened well into the night!) and then on down to the marquee which had floor-to-ceiling windows to take full advantage of the gorgeous lake and garden view. The food was fantastic, and we had so many of our guests commenting on how good it was, with the lamb on the spit being a particular highlight. The staff really helped to make the day feel totally relaxed and straightforward, nothing was too much of an ask. Since the wedding we’ve had so many comments from our guests about how much they loved the venue. The fact that it’s so different from your standard “hotel wedding” is what really sets it apart – it has a totally unique charm.
